Dr Chris Robinson is a UK‑trained Specialist GP (MRCGP) who works full time as an advanced level skin cancer GP. He consults at both the Warner and Mitchelton Skin Cancer Clinics.
Dr Robinson holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc), a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
Dr Robinson has undertaken extensive postgraduate education in dermatology, skin cancer surgery and skin cancer medicine. He has completed a Master’s degree (Distinction) in Skin Cancer Medicine at the University of Queensland, where he is a Senior Lecturer in Skin Cancer Medicine. He is a former college tutor for the Skin Cancer College Australia (SCCA).
Beyond advanced SCCA certifications, Dr Robinson has achieved Fellowship of the Skin Cancer College Australia (FSCCA). This is the highest educational award offered by the College following a rigorous five‑year program. There are approximately only around 130 Fellows nationwide.
Dr Robinson is a published author in the field of skin cancer and is currently involved in academic skin cancer research at Southern Cross University.
Outside of Skin Cancer management Dr Robinson holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology (Dip Derm, Aus) and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Dermatology (FAID). Dr Robinson is not a dermatologist.
Dr Robinson works as a Senior Medical Officer (SMO) in the Department of Dermatology at the Princess Alexander Hospital. In this role Dr Robinson undertakes surgical repairs (flaps and grafts) for skin cancer patients and this unique role is testament to Dr Robinson’s advanced surgical expertise in skin cancer management.
