Dr Nicholas Bashir-Elahi is a skilled general practitioner with over 20 years of clinical experience in Brisbane. Originally from New Zealand, he is known for his compassionate, patient-centred approach and his broad expertise across general medicine.
A Member of the RACGP as well as the Australasian skin cancer college, Dr Nick is deeply committed to ongoing professional development. He has focused on advancing his skills in skin cancer medicine. He holds a Certificate of Dermoscopy and the Advanced Skin Cancer Certificate through the Skin Cancer College, and is currently furthering his skills in the HealthCert Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine.
Dr Nick provides comprehensive skin assessments, including melanoma screening, full skin checks, and spot evaluations. His clinical experience has allowed him to become at expert in early detection and effective management of skin cancers including the early detection of subtle melanoma. Dr Nick provides both excision of skin cancers and is skilled at curettage of low risk skin cancers where invasive treatments can be avoided, minimising scarring. Dr Nick also has experience with PDT for quick and convenient treatment of early cancers and precancerous lesions.
Outside of his clinical work, Dr Nick enjoys exploring new technologies, cycling, and staying active with his two young daughters.
